Report: Spurs are among several PL clubs interested in Croatian starlet

90 min have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are one of several clubs showing interest in Hajduk Split defender, Luka Vuskovic.

Despite being only 16 years of age, Vuskovic has already established himself as a regular in Hajduk Split’s starting eleven and is beginning to turn a lot of heads with his performances.

90 min claim that Tottenham are one of the clubs who have been impressed by the centre-back’s displays but it is revealed that the Lilywhites are far from alone in their admiration for the player.

The report states that Chelsea, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are all keen on snapping him up.

It is revealed that Man City and PSG have now become the first two clubs to first make an offer to Vuskovic, with the Premier League side’s offer thought to be around €12m (£10.5m).

However, Hajduk Split are said to be in no hurry to agree on a deal as they expect the teenager to fetch a bigger fee of around €15m (£13.2) in the summer.

90 min add that the Croatian club would prefer a deal that would see Vuskovic remain with them for at least one more season.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is not surprising that a whole host of clubs have their eye on Vuskovic as he looks destined to evolve into a top defender over the next few years.

If the Croat were smart, he would join a club like Borussia Dortmund, who are not shy of promoting youth players into the first-team, and use them as a stepping stone before moving to a big Premier League club.
