Report: Spurs are among the clubs looking at 14-year-old ‘generational’ talent 

Ajax Showtime have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are one of several European clubs eyeing a move for Serbian starlet Nebojsa Grujic.

Despite being just 14 years of age, Grujic is said to have ‘aroused the interest’ of several clubs in the continent with his eye-catching displays.

The winger, who currently plays for Red Star Belgrade’s Under-15 side, has reportedly impressed in a number of recent tournaments and also shone for Serbia’s Under-15 side.

He is described in the report as ‘one of the greater talents of his generation’, with scouts from various sides said to be flocking to Serbia to watch him action.

Tottenham are among the clubs chasing Nebojsa Grujic

The outlet reveals that Spurs, Ajax, Fiorentina, Genk, Benfica and Red Bull Salzburg have all expressed in securing the teenager’s services.

However, it is explained by Sport Witness that since Serbia are not part of the European Union, Grujic will not be allowed to sign for a Premier League side until he turns 18 years of age.

The issues regarding the work permit rules might not necessarily rule out Tottenham from the race for Grujic. Just like they did with Luka Vuskovic, the club might be considering signing him to a long-term deal and loaning him out to various sides until he turns 18.
