Report: Spurs are ‘being kept informed’ about one Premier League attacker

90 min have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are ‘being kept informed’ about Leandro Trossard’s situation by Brighton after the North London club expressed an interest in the winger.

Multiple publications (Daily Mail and Football Insider) have reported over recent days that Spurs are eyeing a move for Trossard.

TalkSPORT’s Alex Crook took to social media on Tuesday to claim that Tottenham’s interest in the winger is ‘genuine’ and added that Brighton had activated the clause to extend the 28-year-old’s current deal until 2024.

This information has now been backed up by 90 min, who state that even though Trossard is indeed now contracted for another 18 months at the Amex Stadium, that does not mean he is likely to stay.

In fact, the report adds that out of all the Seagulls’ starters, the Belgian international is the player who is most likely to be sold this month, ahead of Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo.

However, 90 min add that Brighton will not ‘roll over’ and let him walk for a ‘cut price fee’ this month.

It is explained that while Trossard is not Tottenham’s top target, the Lilywhites are being kept informed of the player’s situation. The report asserts that the former Genk man is also of interest to Newcastle United.

Spurs Web Opinion

Trossard is unlikely to be very expensive and it sounds like Brighton are open to cashing in on the winger for the right price. I can see why the 28-year-old would be a tempting option for Conte as his versatility means that he can not only be deployed in the front three and in attacking midfield but potentially even as a wing-back.
