Report: Spurs are ‘compiling a dossier’ on Championship star ahead of potential move

Football Insider have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are keeping close tabs on Bristol City sensation Alex Scott this summer.

Scott, who graduated through Bristol’s academy and made his senior debut for the club last season, has established himself as a regular in Nigel Pearson’s starting eleven this campaign.

The versatile attacking midfielder, who has also been employed wide on the right, has managed four goals and six assists in 38 Championship appearances (Transfermarkt).

Alasdair Gold said on his YouTube Channel (starting at 11:15) last week that Tottenham ‘really like’ Scott as an option.

Football Insider have now claimed that the North London club are compiling a dossier on the 18-year-old before deciding whether to push ahead with a formal offer for him.

The report states that former Spurs manager David Pleat, who is used as a sounding board by Daniel Levy on young players in the EFL, is checking out Scott’s character and background through his contacts.

The attacking midfielder, who has been dubbed the Guernsey Grealish due to his ability to carry the ball and win free kicks, is also said to be of interest to Everton and Southampton.

Football Insider claim that Bristol City are now bracing themselves for offers for the teenager.

Spurs Web Opinion

Given Paratici’s overhaul of Tottenham’s scouting department and our need for homegrown players, one can expect Spurs to snap up at least a couple of rising talents from the EFL this summer.

If the North Londoners do snap up Scott, I would expect them to loan the teenager back to Bristol City for next season.
