Report: Spurs are considering a move for an exciting Scandinavian winger

According to The Daily Mail’s latest Transfer Confidential newsletter, Tottenham Hotspur are continuing to monitor the situation of Copenhagen winger Roony Bardghji.

Much to the disappointment of Spurs fans, Tottenham have seemingly failed in their pursuit of a young exciting wide player in Antonio Nusa after Brentford reportedly swooped in and agreed on a fee with Club Brugge for the player.

However, it has been reported over the last 24 hours that there has been a complication with Nusa’s medical ahead of his switch to the Bees, with some outlets suggesting that the development could re-open the door at Spurs (Sky Sports).

While we wait and see how that situation unfolds, it has now emerged that Tottenham have set their sights on another 18-year-old Scandinavian attacker in the form of Bardghji, who, like Nusa, has been turning a lot of heads lately.

Various sources have reported over the last couple of months that Spurs are keeping a close eye on the Copenhagen star, who has impressed in the Danish top flight as well as the Champions League this season (90 min).

Tottenham have not ended interest in Roony Bardghji

If The Mail’s latest update is to be believed, Spurs continue to hold a keen interest in Bardghji, who is said to be admired by many of the North London club’s staff.

The report claims that Tottenham are ‘still considering a move’ for the teenager but it is not explained if they are likely to make a move for him before tomorrow’s transfer deadline or if they view the youngster as a target for next summer.

The publication adds that Ange Postecoglou’s men will not have a free run at Bardghji, with several other clubs also thought to be keeping an eye on the winger.

There appears to be some truth in the speculation regarding Tottenham’s interest in Bardghji as the links have persisted for many months. It looks quite likely that the Sweden international would be one of the backup options the club had identified for Nusa.
