Journalist Dean Jones has revealed in his column on GiveMeSport that Tottenham Hotspur are holding discussions with Brighton about potentially including an option to buy in any loan deal for Bryan Gil.
It was reported by The Daily Mail on Tuesday that Spurs and the Seagulls had begun discussions over a potential loan deal for Gil.
The report alleged that the Lilywhites were willing to sanction a temporary move for the winger, with Nottingham Forest also alleged to have shown interest in the Spaniard.

Longer-term deal on the cards for Bryan Gil to Brighton
Jones has now said that talks are ‘continuing’ between Tottenham and Brighton, with the two clubs said to be ‘exploring the finer details of the transfer’.
The journalist states that the two sides are also expected to discuss whether it could ‘become a longer-term agreement’ for the 22-year-old.
He reveals that Gil does not fit into Ange Postecoglou’s plans at Spurs, which is why the North London club are willing to offload him permanently.
Finally, Jones adds that Forest, Burnley and Fiorentina have also expressed an interest in securing Gil’s services before the 11 pm deadline.
Spurs Web Opinion
I would be disappointed if Tottenham offloaded Gil permanently without ever offering the winger a run of games in the Premier League to showcase his qualities. I believe that a loan switch to a club like Brighton and Forest would be ideal, with the club putting off a decision on the winger’s sale until next summer.
