Report: Spurs are keeping an eye on £35m-rated forward – Saudi club also keen

According to Goal Brasil, Tottenham Hotspur have enquired about the availability of Fiorentina striker Arthur Cabral, who the North London club have allegedly identified as a replacement for Harry Kane.

Cabral had an impressive 2022-23 campaign for Fiorentina, finding the back of the net 17 times across all competitions, and the striker’s displays have now seemingly alerted Tottenham.

The report states that Spurs are now ‘evaluating’ a move for the Brazilian amidst fears that they might lose Harry Kane to Bayern Munich.

The publication claims that the Viola have told the Lilywhites that it would take an offer of €40m (£34.6m) to prize the centre-forward away from Artemio Franchi Stadium.

The Premier League club are alleged to have also made contact with Cabral’s agent, Paulo Pitombeira, to explore if the player would be open to a switch to N17.

Arthur Cabral is a target for Spurs if Kane leaves

However, Goal Brasil explain that Spurs would only make a move for the 25-year-old if Kane departs and that the Fiorentina star is not the only option that the English side are considering as their star man’s potential replacement.

The outlet also adds that Spurs face competition for Cabral from the Saudi Arabia side Al-Hilal, who are thought to have ‘consulted’ about the player’s situation but are yet to send a formal proposal for him.

The fact that Tottenham are being linked with an increasing number of centre-forwards over the last week or two, suggests that the club have started exploring various options to replace Kane.

That is perhaps another sign that the England captain is now edging closer to an exit.
