Report: Spurs are looking at 34-year-old Juventus star

TuttoMercatoWeb have reported that Tottenham are now looking at experienced Juventus defender, Leonardo Bonucci.

The report claims that Spurs are just considering the 34-year-old at the moment but add that this could develop into more in the coming weeks.

Spurs are apparently evaluating a number of different profiles of player to improve their defence, including Bonucci, after the backline struggled throughout last season.

Bonucci is said to be worth around £7.2m in the current transfer market and is under contract with Juventus until 2024 (TransferMarkt).

Despite his age, the Italian defender played 35 games and scored two goals for Juve across all competitions last season (TransferMarkt).

This news comes after reports have indicated that Tottenham are set to appoint Fabio Paratici as their new Sporting Director, a man who spent the past 11 seasons at Juventus.

Football London have previously reported that Tottenham want to sign two new centre-backs this summer after a worrying campaign at the back.
