Report: Spurs are now competing with four other PL sides for midfield target

HITC have now revealed that several Premier League sides are now ready to challenge Tottenham Hotspur for the signature of Fenerbahce star Ismail Yuksek in the summer.

It is perhaps not surprising that clubs from England are taking note of Yuksek, who has emerged as one of the best midfield destroyers in the Super Lig this season.

In fact, it was reported by Fotomac a few days ago that Tottenham’s scouts watched the 25-year-old in action in Fenerbahce’s Europa Conference League win over Royale Union Saint-Gilloise last week.

The report added that the Lilywhties will continue to keep an eye on the player over the next few weeks before making a decision on whether to push ahead with an offer for him.

Tottenham face competition for Yuksek

HITC have now also backed up Spurs’ interest in Yuksek, suggesting that Ange Postecoglou’s men have identified the midfielder as a potential replacement for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

However, they make it clear that the North Londoners are not likely to have a free run at the Fenerbahce star when the transfer window opens.

In fact, it is alleged that Tottenham could be challenged by the likes of Aston Villa, Wolves, Newcastle and Manchester United, who are all thought to be keeping tabs on Yuksek.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is too early to speculate on who Tottenham’s top targets would be for any position as Postecoglou, Lange and co are unlikely to finalise their list of targets until we get closer to the transfer window.

For the moment, the Aussie coach will be focused on ensuring his side finish the season strongly and secure fourth place.
