Report: Spurs are now eyeing moves for Leeds and Nottingham Forest stars

The Daily Mail have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are now keeping an eye on Leeds United youngster Archie Gray and Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White.

While most reports over the past few days have been about Spurs’ pursuit of Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin, it has also been widely reported that Ange Posteocoglou wants to bring a number eight through the door this month (The Telegraph).

Over the last week, various outlets have played down Tottenham’s chances of landing Conor Gallagher, who was previously thought to be the club’s top target, with the Chelsea midfielder thought to be deemed too expensive by the Lilywhites (Football Transfers).

It was The Mail who first reported last week that the North London club also have their eye on Gibbs-White, having sent scouts to check on the midfielder this season.

Two English midfielders on Tottenham’s radar

The same publication has now claimed that Ange Postecoglou’s men are not just keeping tabs on the Forest star but also Leeds’ Archie Gray, who is having a breakthrough season at Elland Road.

The 17-year-old has established himself as a fixture in Daniel Farke’s modified and is making waves in the Championship, with a move to the Premier League looking inevitable for the youngster sooner rather than later.

The Mail have now asserted that the teenager has come to the attention of Spurs but curiously, the outlet says that both he and Gibbs-White are seen as targets for next summer rather than the current transfer window.

Spurs Web Opinion

I doubt either Forest or Leeds would be willing to sell their respective midfielders midway into the season, with the former looking to stay in the Premier League and the latter eyeing promotion to the top flight.
