Report: Spurs are now just £1.7m away from agreeing a key summer deal

Emerson Royal to AC Milan is close

The update from CalcioMercato says that Milan have accelerated their move for Emerson after the injury sustained by Alessandro Florenzi.

The report claims that the Rossoneri have sent a ‘fresh bid’ of around €14m in the recent hours but Tottenham have not given a green light for the move yet.

The North London side are thought to be holding out for €15m plus bonuses worth €3m, with new contacts now expected between the two sides over the coming hours.

The publication asserts that talks will continue between the parties, with the transfer expected to be finalised sooner rather than later.

Spurs and AC Milan are just €2 million apart

Gianluca Dimarzio reports something similar, albeit with slightly different figures. He claims Tottenham want €15m plus €5m in add-ons, while AC Milan’s latest offer was just short at €14m plus €4m in add-ons.

Whoever you believe, it appears there are now just a couple of million Euros separating Spurs and Milan.

These reports come off the back of Fabrizio Romano claiming on Monday that Emerson is set to complete his move to the San Siro by the end of this week.

Spurs Web Opinion

There seems to be plenty of confidence among the Milan hierarchy that they will be able to agree on a deal but Tottenham have shown no inclination to lower their demands right from the start of the negotiations, with the Lilywhites seemingly determined to get fair value for the Brazilian.
