Report: Spurs are now plotting a raid for 21-year-old Serie A full-back

HITC have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are now considering making a move for Udinese right-back Festy Ebosele when the transfer window reopens in the summer.

The report says that Spurs are now scouring Europe for a suitable backup to Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro, and one of the players that has caught their attention is Ebosele.

The youngster, who has operated as a convention right-back and as a right wing-back, has progressed impressively since swapping Derby County for Serie A back in 2022.

Tottenham are interested in Festy Ebosele

It is revealed that Tottenham’s main challengers for the Republic of Ireland international are expected to be Leeds United, who are also quite keen on securing the youngster’s signature.

In addition, the Udinese defender is also allegedly being watched by Everton, West Ham United, and Southampton ahead of the summer.

The publication explains that Ebosele is of particular interest to Premier League sides since he is considered homegrown, having spent his formative years at Derby.

Wayne Rooney had previously backed the Irishman to evolve into a ‘superstar’ when he was managing the Rams (DerbyShireLive).

Tottenham will have a good working relationship with Udinese, having successfully negotiated a deal for Udogie a couple of years ago. Perhaps Spurs can also get the left-back to put in a word to his former teammate about the club and about working with Postecoglou.
