Report: Spurs are now waiting to hear from their top managerial target

The Daily Mail have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are waiting to hear from Julian Nagelsmann’s camp regarding whether he is interested in replacing Antonio Conte at the helm.

The Telegraph’s Matt Law reported on Monday that Nagelsmann has shot to the top of Tottenham’s wishlist after he parted ways with Bayern Munich.

This was followed up immediately by a report in The Times which revealed that Spurs had reached out to the German’s camp over the weekend regarding the managerial vacancy.

The Mail have now also backed up that claim, stating that the Lilywhites hierarchy are waiting to hear back from the departed Bayern boss over whether he is interested in the job.

The report explains that Daniel Levy wants to weigh up his chances of landing Nagelsmann before he turns his attention to other candidates.

The publication asserts that the likes of Real Madrid and Chelsea are also circling over the 35-year-old at present.

There is no reason for Nagelsmann to accept the Spurs job before the summer even if he is interested in the vacancy.

The German will want to assess his various options in the summer and he will want to start with a pre-season to get his ideas across to the squad.
