Football Insider have claimed that Tottenham could face plenty of competition from the Premier League and abroad as they plot a move for Nottingham Forest defender Murillo.

Murillo had an extremely impressive debut Premier League season following his switch from Corinthians last summer and his performances are thought to have attracted the attention of Ange Postecoglou’s side.
Murillo had a solid season with Nottingham Forest
Tottenham’s interest in the 21-year-old first came to light two weeks ago when The Athletic asserted that the club had come forward to express an intention to take the youngster to N17.
Football Insider have now also backed up Tottenham’s interest in Murillo, stating that the Lilywhites are keen on adding defensive reinforcements and have set their sights on the Forest player.

Tottenham will face competition to sign Murillo
It is explained that Spurs are well aware of the fact that the Midlands club need to sell players to offset their losses and thus eyeing some potential bargain deals from the club, with the centre-back being one of the names on their wishlist.
However, it is asserted that Ange Postecolgou’s men are far from the only club keen on Murillo, with the player also on the radars of Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and PSG.
While the report does not say how much the defender will cost, it is claimed that it would take a ‘huge’ offer to convince Nuno Espirito Santo’s me to sell their starlet.
Spurs Web Opinion
It is clear that Tottenham are sensing an opportunity to land a few players on the cheap from Forest this summer, with Murillo, Gibbs-White and Hudson-Odoi seemingly all on the North London club’s radar.
Tottenham need to be focusing on more important positions such as a holding midfielder, winger and a new striker before looking to shore up the backline.
