Report: Spurs are one of five PL clubs monitoring eight-time league winner

HITC claim that Tottenham Hotspur are one of several Premier League clubs interested in a move for Joshua Kimmich, who is looking for a route out of Bayern Munich in the summer.

Although Kimmich has been a key part of Bayern’s last eight successive Bundesliga title wins, the midfielder is no longer a guaranteed starter at the club under Thomas Tuchel.

Tottenham’s interest in the player first came to light around a month ago when The Guardian suggested Lilywhites are plotting a £60m move for the German international.

Competition intensifying for Joshua Kimmich

HITC have now said that given his lack of regular starts at the Allianz Arena, Kimmich is now keen on a move to the Premier League, with a number of English clubs alerted to the situation.

The report says that Spurs, Man City, Liverpool, Man Utd and Newcastle are all admirers of the 28-year-old and are ready to pounce if he is put on the shop window.

The outlet reveals that City, in particular, have been long-term admirers of the Bayern star and are ready to sign him as a replacement for Kalvin Phillips, who is likely to leave in the summer.

However, the publication adds that the Bundesliga giants are hopeful that whoever replaces Tuchel at the helm in the summer will be able to convince Kimmich to stay.

Spurs Web Opinion

With Bayern confirming that Tuchel will depart at the end of the season, I do not see them putting Kimmich on the shop window. Having said that, they would have to consider doing so if the 28-year-old does not agree a new contract as his current deal runs out in 2025.
