Report: Spurs are one of four clubs monitoring 21-year-old right-back

TuttoSport have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur continue to have an eye on Torino right-back Wilfried Singo ahead of the January transfer window.

Multiple reports over the last two months have indicated that Antonio Conte is prioritising reinforcements at right wing-back in January (90 min).

Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries has been linked with a move to the North London club over recent weeks (CalcioMercato) while Sporting Lisbon’s Pedro Porro (Correio da Manha 10/12/22 via Sport Witness) has also been mooted as a target for the Lilywhites.

If TuttoSport’s latest update is to be believed, Spurs still retain an interest in Singo, who was rumoured to be on the club’s radar back in the summer (Independent) before they snapped up Djed Spence from Middlesbrough.

The Torino star’s current contract runs out in the summer of 2024, and TuttoSport claim that Tottenham are waiting to see whether he will put pen to paper on a new deal with the Serie A club.

The report adds that Conte’s men are not the only club monitoring Singo’s situation, with the likes of Inter Milan, Juventus and Barcelona also thought to have their eye on the 21-year-old.

Spurs Web Opinion

I can understand why Tottenham’s interest in Singo might have cooled as the 21-year-old has flattered to deceive this season, registering just one assist in 11 Serie A games. However, he does have age on his side and perhaps Conte will back himself to turn the Ivorian into a top-class wing-back.
