The Sun have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are one of a whole host of Premier League clubs who have scouted Strasbourg starlet Habib Diarra this season.
Diarra has gone from strength to strength since breaking into Strasbourg‘s senior side two years ago, with the central midfielder having six goal contributions to his name in 27 Ligue 1 appearances this season (Transfermarkt).
According to The Sun, the youngster now looks set for a ‘big move to England’ this summer, with a host of Premier League clubs said to have an eye on him.
The report reveals that scouts from Tottenham were joined by representatives from nine other clubs at La Meinau two weeks ago to watch Diarra in action against Nice, including Manchester City, Manchester United, West Ham, Crystal Palace, Leeds and Leicester City.
However, the publication adds that as things stand, it is Villa and Wolves who are leading the race for the France international’s signature.
It is alleged that Strasbourg are open to cashing in on Diarra and value the central midfielder at around £20m.

There is no doubt that Tottenham need reinforcements in the middle of the park, particularly with Bentancur expected to be out of action until November.
However, the North London club are not likely to finalise any decisions on transfer targets until a new sporting director and head coach come through the door.
