Report: Spurs are open to a loan exit in January if obligation to buy is included

Gianluca Di Marzio has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have now changed their stance on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and are open to loaning out the midfielder.

The speculation linking Hojbjerg with a move to Juventus continues to drag on as we get closer to the January transfer window, with various outlets suggesting recently that a move to Turin is the 28-year-old’s top preference (The Atheltic).

However, reports over the last few days have continued to insist that Spurs and Juve are not see eye-to-eye on a deal, with the Lilywhites allegedly wanting £23m for the player while the Bianconeri want to sign the player on loan (Calciomercato).

Tottenham’s stance changes on Hojbjerg loan

Di Marzio has now said that the Premier League side have now ‘given an opening to the possibility of a loan’ move as long as it comes with an obligation to buy.

The journalist reveals that Juve are not alone in their admiration of Hojbjerg, with other Serie A sides, including Napoli, continuing to circle over the Tottenham man.

Di Marzio adds that Massimiliano Allegri’s men are yet to make a final decision on the Denmark international, with the club also thought to be looking at other midfielders.

We know that Postecoglou is a fan of the England international and Spurs might perhaps be looking to make room in the squad for the 23-year-old by moving on the former Southampton man.
