Report: Spurs are ready to listen to offers for Erik Lamela – Desired price revealed

Tottenham Hotspur may reportedly be open to selling Erik Lamela this summer after seven seasons in North London with the Lilywhites (Daily Star).

Lamela arrived from Roma back in 2013 as a promising young winger, with Spurs breaking their transfer record on the Argentine at the time.

However, injuries have hampered Lamela’s Premier League career, with the Tottenham man being forced to make do with a bit-part role in the squad of late.

Across seven campaigns, the Argentine has registered 212 appearances and 33 goals for Tottenham, with only 16 of those coming in the Premier League (Wikipedia).

The Daily Star claim that Mourinho may look to offload Lamela in order to make room for new signings like Willian from Chelsea.

The report reveals that Daniel Levy would be ready to listen to offers of around £20m for the former Roma man. The Guardian reported in 2013 that Spurs originally paid £25.8m for the player, meaning that Levy seems unwilling to take much of a hit on him.

Spurs Web Opinion:

If Tottenham were to sell one winger in the current squad, it would have to be Erik Lamela. However, I do believe that he provides a valuable and hard-working playmaker option from the bench in a more central role and would like to see him remain in North London.
