HITC report that Tottenham Hotspur are now ready to accelerate efforts to tie down Son Heung-min to a new contract.
Son will enter the final year of his contract with Spurs this June and there has already been plenty of speculation over a new deal being on the offing for the Tottenham captain.
Last week, Football Insider suggested that the Lilywhites will hold formal discussions with the forward over a new deal in the summer.

However, HITC have now said that Tottenham are already preparing to step up discussions with Son’s entourage over a new bumper deal.
It is explained that informal talks have been ongoing since last summer and that the club are now ready to take things to the next stage and make ‘progress’ on the negotiations.
The report says that keeping Son at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is one of the club’s key targets leading up to the summer.
The publication adds that the South Korean is loving life under Ange Postecoglou and is thus willing to extend his stay at the club.

Son is now not just the face of Tottenham and the best player at the club but also the leader who sets the tone in the dressing room.
Spurs will certainly not want to lose him and will likely be prepared to break their wage structure and offer him a bumper deal in an effort to keep him off the clutches of the Saudi Pro League sides.
