Report: Spurs are willing to sell striker this summer as several clubs circle

Football Insider report that Tottenham Hotspur are ready to listen to offers for Troy Parrott, who is now generating quite a bit of interest.

There was plenty of excitement about Parrott at Spurs few years ago, with the youngster even being likened by many to Harry Kane.

The Republic of Ireland international has not managed to fulfil that potential, having failed to set the world alight in his loan spells in League One and the Championship over the last couple of years.

However, the 22-year-old has showcased his qualities at Excelsior Rotterdam this season, having managed seven goals and three assists in 21 Eredivisie appearances (Transfermarkt).

Tottenham considering Troy Parrott sale

Football Insider say that on the back of Parrott’s displays in the Netherlands this season, several Bundesliga sides are now circling over the striker and are considering a summer move.

The report says that several German clubs could battle it out for the centre-forward’s services and that Spurs would be willing to sell him if they receive an appropriate offer.

The publication adds that the Lilywhites want to sign a number nine this summer and would be willing to offload Parrott to make space in the squad for the new arrival.

Spurs Web Opinion

Parrott’s injury last summer robbed him of the chance to impress Postecoglou after the Australian arrived at Spurs. The Tottenham boss would want to take a close look at the striker during pre-season before making a decision on his future.
