Report: Spurs, Arsenal and five other PL clubs are looking at ‘available’ Barcelona star

Barcelona are ready to make Raphinha available for transfer this summer, with Spurs and Arsenal very interested in signing the former Leeds United attacker. However, there are a number of other Premier League clubs that have the Brazilian on their radar, too.

It is well-documented that Tottenham are looking to add a new attacker to their ranks this summer. In fact, there is a suggestion that a new winger and a new number 9 will be on Ange Postecoglou‘s shopping list in the upcoming transfer market.

Spurs were keen on Raphinha in 2022, when he first left Leeds United, but Barcelona won the race that time. Now, it seems the winger may be set to leave the Catalan giants already, and according to Fabrizio Romano, the Lilywhites are still interested.

The only issue is, Spurs will need to convince the 27-year-old to leave Barca behind and join them in London (Mundo Deportivo via Sport Witness).

Barcelona want to sell Raphinha this summer

But, that decision may now be taken out of Raphinha’s hands to a degree, as the latest from TBRFootball suggests Barcelona have made him available for transfer this summer. Still, it sounds like the player will have plenty of clubs to choose from if he does move on.

The report claims Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, Aston Villa, and Newcastle are all in the running, while Chelsea and West Ham have also been alerted to this new development in the situation.

It is thought Barcelona need to sell in order to bring in new players, and as such, Raphinha will be sacrificed this summer. He is believed to be happy at the club, but has accepted that his future may lie away from the Nou Camp.

Barcelona intend to make a profit on the £50m they paid for the forward two years ago.

Spurs Web Opinion

Raphinha is a good player, but I don’t think he’s the one for us. His price tag is rather high for what he offers, and I’ve never been 100% convinced of his attitude, either. To be honest, I can see him going to Villa or West Ham instead.
