Report: Spurs asked Everton about 28-year-old’s availability – Not for this summer

According to 90min, Tottenham Hotspur have spoken to Everton about the possibility of signing Jordan Pickford.

Over the last couple of weeks, Tottenham have been heavily linked with a move for Richarlison, with reports indicating that Spurs are set to make an offer for the Brazilian this week (Fabrizio Romano on Que Golazo podcast).

It then emerged on Monday that Spurs had talked to Everton about the possibility of a double deal for Richarlison and winger Anthony Gordon (SkySports), and subsequently that a bid worth £100m had been made (Sun).

90 min have now also backed up some of the same information, revealing that the North Londoners had expressed an interest in the aforementioned duo to the Toffees.

The report then adds that Tottenham have also enquired about a third Everton player in the form of Pickford.

However, it is explained that the Lilywhites do not view the England number one as a target for the current transfer window, with Hugo Lloris expected to remain the first choice between the sticks next season.

Spurs Web Opinion

Tottenham are sorted on the goalkeeping front for the upcoming season with Lloris and Forster. However, I do expect the club to potentially look for Hugo’s long-term successor next summer, and perhaps Fabio Paratici is already laying the groundwork for it at the moment.
