GiveMeSport reveal that Tottenham have competition to contend with from the Premier League as well as from Spain and Italy if they wish to sign Monaco’s right-back Vanderson this summer.

Tottenham are interested in Vanderson from Monaco
Tottenham’s interest in Vanderson first came to light last week when UOL reported that Emerson Royal is certain to leave Spurs this summer and the Lilywhites had identified his compatriot as an ideal replacement for the former Barcelona man.
The report explained that Ange Postecolgou’s side have already made contact with Monaco over the 22-year-old’s availability but are yet to launch an offer for the player.
Pedro Porro is Tottenham’s current first-choice right-back but the North Londoners are clearly looking to provide him with support and competition for next season.

Manchester United also want Vanderson
GiveMeSport have now also offered an update on Tottenham’s pursuit of Vanderson, revealing that the North London club want the player as a backup to Pedro Porro.
However, the report explains that there is a belief at Hotspur Way that the Monaco star could develop into a top player and could be a ‘superb signing for the future’.
The publication adds that the Ligue club want £30m for the right-back, who is also on the radars of Napoli, Barcelona and Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window.
Spurs Web Opinion
Vanderson not only has age on his side but is also the kind of athletic and attack-minded full-back who would thrive in Ange’s system.
The Tottenham boss might fancy his chances of getting the best out of the Brazilian as he continues to imprint his high-risk, attacking brand of football among the squad.
While Pedro Porro is perfectly suited for the role and has come on leaps and bounds since his early days with the club, Emerson Royal’s style certainly does not fit what Tottenham are trying to achieve with inverted full-backs expected to be equally comfortable at both ends of the pitch.
Frustratingly, while the academy is producing plenty of attack-minded players, there seems to be a slight lack of potential in the full-back areas that could look to become fringe players in the Tottenham first-team squad for the couple of seasons that lie ahead.
