Report: Spurs battling three Premier League clubs for £60m-rated winger

According to talkSPORT, Tottenham Hotspur remain interested in a deal for Pedro Neto, who is expected to depart Wolves at the end of the season.

Neto has had an outstanding season at the Molineux Stadium, having managed three goals and eleven assists across all competitions, despite spending a significant amount of time on the treatment table.

Tottenham saw first-hand just how dangerous the pacy winger can be as he played a staring role in Wovles’ 2-1 win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in February.

Spurs plotting a move for Pedro Neto

It has now been revealed by talkSPORT that Spurs are plotting a move for the Portuguese international but are expected to face plenty of competition for his services.

The competition is expected to come from Manchester City, Arsenal and Newcastle United, who are all thought to be keeping tabs on the winger.

The publication adds that while Wolves are confident of keeping hold of key duo Joao Gomes and Rayan Ait-Nouri, they expect Neto to depart, with Gary O’Niel’s men valuing the 24-year-old at £60m.

While there are no doubts about Neto’s talent, his injury record will be a matter of concern for any interested club. The Portuguese star has not shown that he can remain fit for any sustained period of time, which is why it would be a massive risk to shell out over £50m on him.
