Report: Spurs battling two Prem rivals for highly-rated youngster

The name Eduardo Camavinga has risen to the top of the pool of wanted youngsters this summer after his incredible display against PSG last week.

Despite being just 16-years-old, Camavinga produced an impressive and mature match in the centre of the park for Rennes when they defeated the French champions 2-1.

It is not as if the midfielder has suddenly burst onto the scene after one match either, as The Mirror claim that Tottenham started looking at him last season when he made his first-team Rennes debut.

The report also adds that Spurs are now chasing to sign the teenager, but face competition from the likes of Man City and Arsenal, with Real Madrid and Barcelona keeping tabs too.

Camavinga has played three matches so far this season, as well as seven in the 2018/19 campaign, which is a near unheard of record for someone of his age (Wikipedia).

He also played 13 times for Rennes B Team in 2016, scoring four goals in the process.
