Report: Spurs ‘becoming increasingly concerned’ by Bayern interest in Kane

90 min have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are now becoming concerned about Bayern Munich’s interest in snapping up Harry Kane next summer.

Florian Plettenberg told Sky Sports (Football Daily) that Kane is set to be a ‘hot topic’ for Bayern next summer and added that the reigning Bundesliga Champions had already held talks with the player’s entourage.

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold revealed this week that Spurs have not yet begun negotiations with the England captain regarding a new contract but he predicted that it will surely not be long before they do so.

90 min have now explained that the North London club did hold ‘tentative talks’ with Kane over a new deal earlier this year but there has not been any progress since.

The report adds that Antonio Conte’s men are open to kickstarting negotiations prior to the World Cup but it is explained that, as things stand, that seems unlikely to happen.

It is revealed that the 29-year-old is open to negotiating a new deal but Spurs are now becoming worried about Bayern’s advances.

90 min add that Julian Nagelsmann’s side have ‘stepped up their pursuit’ of Kane behind the scenes and the striker himself is giving thought to the move.

Spurs Web Opinion

There will be no shortage of interest in Kane next summer if the striker does not sign a new deal with Spurs. Bayern will certainly not be the only club who look to snap up the 29-year-old.

Whether or not Kane puts pen to paper on a new deal, could well depend on Tottenham’s results over the next few months. If we can sustain our good start to the season, the striker will be tempted to commit his future to the club.
