Report: Spurs becoming ‘more and more convinced’ about permanent signing

Tottenham have been convinced by the strong performances of Dejan Kulusevski which could push them into signing him on a permanent deal, according to Juve Live.

The 21-year-old, who joined Spurs on loan from Juventus on transfer deadline day in January, has impressed during the early stages of his career in north London.

He has slotted in comfortably in a trio alongside Harry Kane and Heung-min Son and was instrumental in Tottenham’s 5-0 win over Everton on Monday night, teeing up two goals in the thrashing.

And Kulusevski’s confident displays so far, which have yielded two goals and three assists (Transfermarkt), have satisfied Spurs who could make the move a permanent one.

Juve Live reports the club have been ‘more and more convinced’ by the Sweden international and will ‘try in every way’ to make the move happen.

Spurs are set to shell out £8.3 million for Kulusevski’s services across this season and through the 2022-23 campaign. However, an obligation to buy clause worth £29.2 million can be activated if certain sporting achievements are met (Sky Sports).

Kulusevski has provided the response that Spurs have wanted new signings to give for so long. He has hit the ground running which players have struggled to do and he has produced straight away too.

There is no reason why he can’t keep growing either, so it does seem like a permanent deal is on the horizon.
