Report: Spurs being priced out of Lloris replacement

It would challenge even the most optimistic Tottenham fan to argue that Hugo Lloris isn’t past his best in a Spurs shirt.

The French goal keeper has been a loyal servant to the club since arriving in 2012, and has been a fantastic captain in recent years.

You can also not deny his quality, having only just lifted the World Cup as France captain last summer.

However, mistakes have started to creep into his game more and more, and while he remains one of the best shot stoppers in the world, his decision making leaves a little to be desired.

Spurs therefore may be on the lookout for a new man between the sticks heading forward, but one report suggests they are being priced out of a move for Lazio keeper Thomas Strakosha (teamtalk).

The 24-year-old is very highly though of in Europe, but comes with a £35m price tag that is said to be far higher than Spurs want to pay.

Should Tottenham come up with the cash, or have they already got a successor in Paulo Gazzaniga?
