Report: Spurs bid £23m for striker who may soon have buyout clause of just £9m

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly tabled an offer of around €25m for Trabzonspor and Crystal Palace striker, Alexander Sorloth (Fotospor).

The front man is currently on a two-year loan spell with the Turkish side, who have the option to purchase him for just €6m from Palace.

However, for another side to come in and sign the goal machine this summer, Trabzonspor reportedly want to receive €20m, while Crystal Palace also want €10m.

If Trabzonspor activated their €6m clause now, Sorloth would automatically have a buy-out clause of just €10m in his contract with them, hence why they are keen to sell for more now.

While RB Leipzig have apparently offered €20m plus an extra €4 in bonuses, Spurs have tabled a cool €25m. However, with the two clubs keen on a combined €30m, it remains to be seen whether Sorloth will move this year.

The Norwegian striker scored an impressive 33 goals in 49 games for Trabzonspor last season, despite managing just one goal in 20 games for Palace (Wikipedia).
