Report: Spurs change their mind with their plans for Troy Parrott

Tottenham Hotspur are reported to have changed their mind on sending Troy Parrott out on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 17-year-old academy product had been linked with a temporary move away from North London with Sky Sports previously reporting that Charlton Athletic and QPR were both keen to give him experience in the Championship.

Football Insider now claim that Jose Mourinho has now had a change of heart and will keep him as a member of his squad rather than shipping him off for experience at a lower level.

Parrott made his Premier League debut under Mourinho in December when he made a late cameo appearance in the win against Burnley but has not taken to the field since.

Harry Kane’s hamstring injury, which will see the striker not return to training until April has not presented the Republic of Ireland international with any further opportunities.

Mourinho has previously revealed that Parrott is undergoing special training at the club as part of a development programme which has been created for the youngster (Football.London).
