Report: Spurs close to agreeing deal to ship out player who is not in Conte’s plans

Tottenham Hotspur are close to agreeing to a deal with Paris Saint-Germain for Tanguy Ndombele, according to The Telegraph.

Spurs are currently in negotiations with the Ligue 1 giants over a loan deal for the remainder of the season, which includes the option to make the deal permanent.

The north Londoners are said to be expecting a club of PSG’s financial might to cover all of his wages, along with attempting to turn the option to buy into an obligation to take the French international off their hands completely.

Ndombele has no future at Tottenham with Antonio Conte having made it clear that he is not part of his plans as the Italian looks to reshape the squad he has at his disposal.

The former Lyon man was brought to Tottenham in the summer of 2019 while Mauricio Pochettino was still in charge and has seriously underperformed during his time at the club.

Ndombele was booed off the pitch during the FA Cup tie against Morecambe earlier this and has failed to make it into Conte’s three subsequent matchday squads.

Tottenham need to get Ndombele off their books as soon as they can in order to free up funds for other targets. It’s evident that Ndombele only wants to join PSG, they now need to make it happen without Levy trying to push the Parisiens too far.
