Report: Spurs competing with Chelsea and Arsenal for Real Madrid full-back

Tottenham are competing against London rivals, Chelsea and Arsenal, for the signature of Real Madrid defender, Achraf Hakimi, according to Baldi.net.

Hakimi’s two-year loan spell at Borussia Dortmund is about to come to an end and the 21-year-old has shone for the Bundesliga giants during his time in Germany.

The right-back’s form this season, in particular, has been dazzling, with the Moroccon notching up seven assists and three goals in twenty-five Bundesliga outings (transfermarkt).

The Athletic revealed earlier this month that Hakimi was on Tottenham’s radar before Mauricio Pochettino was sacked.

Baldi.net now claim that Tottenham are locked in a race with Arsenal and Chelsea for the defender’s signature. The report suggests that Hakimi is yet to decide between the three Premier League sides who are vying for him.

While he is said to be open to remaining at Real Madrid, he will reportedly not be content with a place on the bench in Spain.

Spurs Web Opinion

Serge Aurier’s form has picked up in the last few months and he has been a decent outlet for us down the right-hand side. However, the Ivorian needs some competition to keep him on his toes and Hakimi would certainly be an excellent acquisition for us given his age and outstanding talent.
