Report: Spurs ‘confident’ of offloading two more players before transfer deadline

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur remain confident of offloading both Dele Alli and Tanguy Ndombele before Monday’s transfer deadline.

Both Dele and Ndombele have struggled for game time under Antonio Conte and it has been revealed that the North London club are working to get both players a move this window (Evening Standard).

A host of Premier League clubs, including the likes of Brighton, Everton, Newcastle United and Burnely, have been credited with an interest in Alli (Daily Mail).

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain were allegedly in talks with Spurs over a loan deal for Ndombele for several days (Guardian).

However, some sources from France have suggested over the past couple of days (RMC Sport and L’Equipe via Sport Witness) that the Parisians might find it difficult to sign the Tottenham man without offloading some players first.

Romano has now said Spurs are confident of finding a ‘solution’ for both players before the window slams shut.

He also added that the North London club are ‘close’ to agreeing on a deal with Valencia over a loan move for Bryan Gil.

Spurs Web Opinion

I always expected these moves to drag on until the final few days of the window as it is not easy to move players on in January, particularly in the current economic climate, with not a lot of clubs around Europe having money to throw around. I am hopeful that the club will be able to finalise loan moves for both Ndombele and Dele before Monday’s deadline.
