Report: Spurs confident of wrapping up deal for 21-year-old in ‘coming days’

Football Insider have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are confident of wrapping up a deal for Djed Spence this week once they finalise the signing of Yves Bissouma.

It was reported on Tuesday that Spurs had agreed on a fee of £25m with Brighton for the transfer of Bissouma (The Times).

According to Football.London’s Alasdair Gold, the fee could rise to £30m including add-ons, with the midfielder expected to travel to Hotspur Way this week to complete his medical ahead of the transfer.

Football Insider have revealed that Spurs are confident that Spence will be the next signing to follow Bissouma through the door.

It is explained that the North London club held further talks about the right-back with Middlesbrough on Tuesday night and are now confident of securing a breakthrough in the negotiations.

Boro are said to be ready to cash in on the England Under-21 international, with Tottenham expected to see off competition from Arsenal, Brentford and Nottingham Forest to land the player.

The speed at which we are getting our transfer business now is refreshing to see. It sounds like there is a good chance that the Bissouma, Spence and Eriksen deals could be done within the next week or two. That would leave the club plenty of time to sign a left-sided centre-back and an attacker, and get rid of the deadwood.
