Report: Spurs confirm they will make another coaching ‘announcement’ soon

Tottenham Hotspur have revealed that they will confirm who the first team goalkeeping coach will be in due course.

Tottenham announced on Tuesday that Antonio Conte will replace Nuno Espirito Santo as the club’s head coach.

The North London club then revealed ahead of the Europe Conference League clash against Vitesse on Thursday that Cristian Stellini, who worked with Conte at Juventus and Inter Milan, would take up the role of Assistant Head Coach.

Gianluca Conte, the Spurs head coach’s brother, was confirmed as the technical and analytics coach while Costantino Coratti, Gian Piero Ventrone and Stefano Bruno also joined Conte’s team as the fitness coaches.

Meanwhile, it was also confirmed that former Spurs midfielder Ryan Mason, who served as the interim head coach at the end of last season after Jose Mourinho was sacked, would also join Conte’s team as first-team coach.

However, curiously Spurs did not reveal who the club’s goalkeeping coach will be, simply stating they would announce the appointment “in due course”.

If Conte did not bring a goalkeeping coach with him, perhaps the role could be handed to Michel Vorm. It is possible that the Dutchman impressed the Spurs hierarchy during his short stint as goalkeeping coach towards the end of last season.
