Report: Spurs consider selling first team right back

Tottenham Hotspur have had a few problem positions this season, but perhaps none more so that right back.

Out of the three first team stars, Kieran Trippier, Serge Aurier and Kyle Walker-Peters, none have exactly covered themselves in glory this campaign.

Trippier has been at the heart of some of Tottenham’s biggest mistakes, Aurier has continued to show a lack of defensive discipline, and Walker-Peters has looked out of his depth at times.

A report from TeamTalk now claims that Spurs are considering selling Serge Aurier just a couple of season after purchasing him from PSG in 2017.

Aurier has made 17 appearances this season, with his last three league appearances coming from the bench.

Fans will be hoping that Levy and Pochettino reinvest the funds made from selling players in new stars, with Wan Bissaka one right back already being linked with the club (Sun).

The young English full back would be a good marker of intent from Spurs this summer.
