Report: Spurs considering move for AC Milan centre-back

Mundo Deportivo have reported that Tottenham are considering a move for AC Milan central defender, Alessio Romagnoli in this summer’s transfer window (via Sport Witness).

Romagnoli has just one year left on his current contract with AC Milan and has reportedly rejected an offer of renewal made by the Serie A giants.

Faced with a decision over whether to let the defender leave on a free in the summer of 2022 or sell him now, it is said that AC Milan are leaning towards the latter.

Barcelona apparently have an option to purchase the centre-back, while Romagnoli is also being considered by Tottenham.

The report also adds that AC Milan would be willing to accept a player and some money for their defender, although Barcelona would apparently not have much to offer.

Eric Dier, Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez all struggled for Spurs at the back last season and it remains to be seen whether any will be offloaded by the club this summer.
