Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly taken a former Manchester United midfielder on trial this week, according to sources at Vavel.
The report claims that young Dion McGhee, who had been at Manchester United since he was seven-years-old, is currently undergoing a trial period in North London.
McGhee was released by United at the end of the 2019/20 season and was said to be interesting the likes of West Ham United, Rangers, and Dutch side, AZ Alkmaar.
It was claimed that McGhee decided to leave the club in search for more first-team football opportunities, as he believed that he had fallen too far down the pecking order at United.
The 19-year-old plays prominently as an attacking midfielder, stands at 5 feet and 8 inches tall, and is said to have learned from Juan Mata at United.
It remains to be seen whether McGhee will impress on his trial at Tottenham and whether the North London side will choose to add him to their development squad ranks.
