Report: Spurs’ Conte is on two-man shortlist for Serie A job – Not Juventus

According to La Reppublica (07/02/23 as relayed by Milan Live and SportWitness), Antonio Conte is one of AC Milan’s targets to potentially replace Stefano Pioli if the club’s results do not improve.

There is still a major question mark over Conte’s future at Tottenham, with the Italian’s current contract running out at the end of the season.

Gianluca Di Marzio explained last month that although Spurs had offered their head coach a new deal, the 53-year-old does not want to think about the future for the time being.

La Reppublica have now revealed that Milan could look to bring Conte back to Italy if they part ways with Pioli.

It is explained that the Rossnoeri have identified the former Inter Milan boss and Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi as their two top candidates to replace the 57-year-old.

The publication adds that Conte’s future at Tottenham is by ‘no means certain’ as he has the willingness to return to Italy to be closer to his family, which might open the door for Milan to appoint him.

Spurs Web Opinion

It does not appear as if Antonio Conte is going to make a decision on a new contract at Tottenham until the end of the season. So, the speculation over the Italian’s future is likely to continue until the summer.
