Report: Spurs ‘continue to tempt’ 21-year-old, could face competition from Man City

Sport Witness have relayed the latest reports from Italy regarding Dusan Vlahovic’s future and it appears that Tottenham continue to be on the Fiorentina striker’s tail.

Vlahovic was rumoured to be a target for Spurs during the summer transfer window, with Alasdair Gold even claiming at the time that the Fiorentina man was Fabio Paratici’s number one striker target.

However, the Serbian international ended up staying put in Florence and has made a bright start to the new campaign, with six goals in seven matches in all competitions so far.

The 21-year-old’s current deal runs out in the summer of 2023 and Fiorentina owner Rocco Commisso has admitted that he is unsure as to whether the striker will put pen to paper on a new contract with the club.

Sport Witness have now relayed a report from Calciomercato, who explain that Spurs “continue to tempt” Vlahovic to join them amidst the lack of progress on his renewal talks with Fiorentina.

It is said that Tottenham are joined by “other British clubs”, but the website doesn’t provide details of those “other clubs”.

Sport Witness also shed light on what Gazzetta Dello Sport reported on Thursday regarding Vlahovic’s situation, with the publication claiming that Manchester City are keen to bring the 21-year-old to the Etihad.

Spurs Web Opinion

I believe Vlahovic is bound to evolve into one of the best centre-forwards in world football over the next few years. So, I would be over the moon if he manage to get him.

However, I suspect Spurs are unlikely to reignite their interest in the Serbian, especially since it looks like Kane will not be leaving in January.
