Report reveals when Tottenham could officially announce Ivan Perisic

Tottenham Hotspur could announce the arrival of Ivan Perisic as early as today, according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.

Perisic has worked under Conte previously, with the pair having won the Serie A title during the 2020/21 season with Inter.

The Croatian has been an Inter player since 2015; however, he spent Conte’s first season at the Italian club on loan at Bayern Munich, where he lifted the Bundesliga crown, the DFB-Pokal, and the Champions League.

Fabrizio Romano claimed last week that the 33-year-old is due to travel to England this week along with his agents ahead of undergoing a medical with the north London outfit, where he will sign a two-year contract to join the side who finished fourth in the Premier League last season.

The Croat has won 113 caps for his country and scored in the 2018 World Cup final defeat to France (transfermarkt).

It appears it is just a matter of time before Perisic becomes Tottenham’s first signing of the summer.

Conte will want to get the vast majority of his activity completed ahead of the club’s pre-season tour to South Korea in early July.

Perisic will add invaluable experience to the Spurs dressing room and add another dimension to his midfield options given his versatility.
