It seems the battle to join forces with Nike and the Jordan Brand for a special fourth kit is now between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea, with the preference being on collaborating with a London club who will be competing in Europe next season.
Spurs signed a sponsorship deal with Nike in 2017, and the pair have produced some fantastic kits over the years. While the Lilywhites’ home kit has remained more traditional, Nike has been given the freedom to get creative with the alternate strips.
Naturally, most teams in the Premier League have three kits, but a rumour from Footy Headlines in the last week had suggested a ‘top’ side would be partnering with the Jordan Brand to deliver a special edition fourth kit as part of their roster next season.
Spurs were listed among the possible candidates for the collaboration, along with Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea.

Jumpman is coming to London
The latest on the matter comes from Lukasz Baczek, who claims the exciting deal comes down to either Chelsea or Spurs, and it all depends on how the two sides fare this year.
Baczek tweeted: “Jordan Brand is in negotiations with Chelsea and Tottenham as part of an extended cooperation with Nike on the club’s alternative jersey. The key condition is to ensure play in European cups next season.
“Jordan Brand would prefer Chelsea due to its greater recognition as a football brand and past success. The iconic brand with the Jumpman logo chose London because the city is considered one of the world’s fashion capitals.
“Jordan Brand is counting on success, as is the case with many collections from PSG, also in the field of streetwear. The US brand is not considering cooperation with Liverpool, which is outfitted by Nike, due to its ownership ties with LeBron James and his brand.”
Spurs Web Opinion
I honestly don’t think Chelsea will get a place in European football next season, at least through their league position. Spurs feels like the right choice here, especially with the commercialist drive the club appears to be going for in the last few years.
