Dean Jones has written in his column on Sports Lens that Tottenham Hotspur are one of five Premier League clubs vying for the signature of Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi.
Guehi has come on leaps and bounds since his switch to Palace two and a half years ago, with the defender now looking certain to be on the plane to Germany with Gareth Southgate’s squad in the summer.
According to Jones, the 23-year-old is now ready to quit Selhurst Park and has already decided to make a big move at the end of this season.

Tottenham are keeping an eye on Marc Guehi
This has allegedly alerted a whole host of top sides across the Premier League, with Tottenham said to be joined by Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United in the race for the centre-back.
Jones explains that while Palace expect to lose Guehi at the end of the season, they are likely to demand top dollar, with the auction expected to start at around £60m.
The journalist adds that the Eagles would prefer to wait until the end of Euro 2024 to sell the player as they believe his value could rise further if he has a good tournament.

While Guehi has been a long-term target for Tottenham Hotspur, there is no chance that Spurs would get involved in a bidding war for the 23-year-old, now that they have Romero, Van de Ven and Dragusin at their disposal. It would make far more sense to spend that money to strengthen other areas.
