Report: Spurs could ‘blitz’ two Serie A clubs in race for 25-year-old

According to Tuttosport (15/11/22 as relayed by Calciomercato.it), Tottenham could blow away competition from Serie A clubs for Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram.

Thuram has been in excellent form this season, having found the back of the net on 13 occasions so far (Transfermarkt) and the forward will be hoping to get minutes for Les Blues at the World Cup in Qatar.

90 min reported a couple of days ago that Antonio Conte is keen on signing an attacker in January, with the North London club said to have identified the Gladbach star as a potential option.

The report revealed that Spurs had sent scouts to Germany last week to watch the 25-year-old in action while Arsenal were also named as ‘admirers’ of the Frenchman.

Tuttosport have now claimed that Thuram is also attracting interest from Juventus and Inter Milan ahead of the January transfer window.

The report explains that while Inter have had a long-term interest in the Gladbach star, he has recently also entered into the thinking of Juve’s hierarchy.

The publications suggest that Conte wants Spurs to blow his two former clubs out of the water, with the Lilywhites potentially moving in a ‘blitz’ to complete a deal for Thuram.

Thuram is likely to be available for a cut-price fee in January, given that his contract at Borussia Park runs out next summer. So, Spurs can certainly expect quite a lot of competition for the France international’s services when the transfer window opens.
