Report: Spurs could include £25m man in a swap deal for striker

According to a report by The Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to include Lucas Moura in a deal for Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik.

Milik has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs over the past few weeks with reports suggesting that the Lilywhites are battling it out with Juventus for the centre-forward’s signature (SportItalia via Area Napoli).

Napoli have made it clear that they will cash in on the 26-year-old, who just has a year left to run on his contract at the San Paolo Stadium if he does not sign an extension (Sky Sports Italia via Football Italia).

The Daily Mail have now revealed that Spurs hope to tempt Napoli by offering Moura, who the Serie A side’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis is said to be an admirer of.

It is claimed that Napoli tried to sign the 27-year-old from Spurs last summer but Mauricio Pochettino blocked the move and kept the former £25m signing from PSG in North London (Sky Sports).

The report asserts that an agreement is likely to be reached between Tottenham and Napoli but that the final decision would be up to the Polish international.

Spurs Web Opinion

Moura is certainly replaceable and so swapping him for Milik would be a very good deal for us. The Poland international is the best centre-forward who we can realistically get under the current financial circumstances.

While I can see why Mourinho is keen to land Milik, I cannot see him wanting to get rid of Moura. The Brazilian seems to have developed a good relationship with the Spurs boss, who seems to value his work rate and attitude. So, we should take this report with a pinch of salt.
