Tottenham could have the opportunity to sign Schalke’s Can Bozdogan this summer transfer window for less than £10million.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Spurs are interested in the German midfielder, however, they are likely to face competition from Atletico Madrid this summer.
Described as a ‘pearl’ by the Spanish outlet, the German youngster has featured 13 times in the U19 Bundesliga where he scored three goals and grabbed three assists (transfermarkt).
However, the left-footed midfielder only made three appearances for Schalke in the 2019/20 Bundesliga campaign as the 19-year-old begins to make his breakthrough into senior football.
Bozdogan was used as a left-winger in those appearances but he predominantly plays as a central attacking midfielder (WhoScored?).
The youngster is still under contract at Schalke until 2022 but with the Bundesliga side said to be struggling financially amid the COVID-19 pandemic it is likely they will look to offload some of their talent.
