Report: Spurs could land long-term target for half the price summer

Fulham wide man Ryan Sessegnon has been linked with Tottenham for more than 2 years now with Pochettino said to be a fan of the youngster.

Sessegnon has had a mixed season with the Cottagers so far this term. A lot was expected of the 18-year-old at the start of the season but he initially found it hard to adjust to life in the Premier League.

As the season has gone on, however, the youngster has put in improved performances but he was unable to stop the Cottagers from going down as their fate was mathematically confirmed this week.

Fulham slapped a £100 million price tag on Sessegnon last summer amidst interest from Spurs, but according to report in the Daily Mirror, the club are willing to let the player go for less than half of that price this summer.

Sessegnon is said to be keen to continue playing Premier League football with a number of top-flight clubs reportedly interesting in adding him to their squad.

While £40-£50 million still represents a massive outlay, the England youth international has a lot of room for development given his tender age.
