Report: Spurs could look to raid Inter Milan for players despite Conte failure

According to a report in The Daily Express, Tottenham could still look to raid Inter Milan for several of their players this summer despite the club’s failure to reach an agreement with Antonio Conte.

The breakdown in talks between Conte and Spurs came as a crushing blow to some fans, given that the deal seemed close to being at one point.

When it appeared as if the Italian was on his way to Tottenham earlier this week, the North London club were linked with raids for the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi.

It remains to be seen whether those moves would be on the cards now that Conte is not likely to be the North London club’s next manager.

The Express claim that Tottenham could still look to raid the reigning Serie A champions this summer due to Inter’s financial struggles.

The report suggests that Spurs could reignite their interest in Milan Skriniar and could potentially look at Ivan Perisic as an option due to the uncertainty surrounding the future of Gareth Bale.

It is also stated that the Lilywhites could look to tempt Christian Eriksen back to the club after the Dane admitted that he was “shocked” by Conte’s exit.
