Report: Spurs could look to replace Harry Kane with Bundesliga pair

Tottenham Hotspur may look to raid Borussia Monchengladbach for both Alassane Plea and Marcus Thuram should Harry Kane leave during the current transfer window, according to Le10Sport.

Spurs are said to be of the option that the 27-year-old is not for sale this summer despite reports suggesting that he wants to leave the club and seek a fresh challenge (Daily Mail).

Manchester City were reported to have tabled a £100million offer to take Kane to the Etihad and were prepared to include some players in the deal (Sky Sports).

Thuram enjoyed an impressive campaign for his club last season, having scored 11 goals and claimed 12 assists from 40 appearances in all competitions (transfermarkt). Plea also had a productive season in front of goal with 12 goals and 15 assists from 39 appearances in all outings.

The pair’s efforts helped Monchengladbach to an eighth place finish in the Bundesliga table and were knocked out of the Champions League at the round of 16 stage by Manchester City.

It speaks volumes that Spurs are reportedly considering two signings if Kane is to leave the club. His ability not only to find the back of the net, but also to create so many goals means that no other player can directly replace the England captain.
